How True!!!

A citizen of America will cross the ocean to fight for democracy, but won't cross the street to vote in a national election.

About Me

Mr. H.
Why Teach? I have always enjoyed working with young people, maybe because I have never grown up myself (so my wife says!) I love history and I love politics, needless to say teaching those subjects to young people is a perfect fit. It would be easy to teach dates, names, and places but what I feel is more important is teaching young people to take educated chances by examining what worked and didn't work in the past and exploring new opportunities for the future. I also want them to realize that there are proper channels to go through to solve those the problems that they encounter. Young people should understand that those who do not know there history are truly doomed to repeat it and that government only has the power that we give it. Our elected officials are accountable to us. By not participating in government we relinquish that power and our government only has that much more power to use without any checks or balances.
